As it states on the album cover, this compilation recorded in 1958 at Camp Killooleet in Vermont, is: “
the picture of a children’s camp, painted in the voices and sounds of its children
” The album opens with sounds of horses and children during a riding activity exemplifying what Ed Badeaux explains is just one of the activities “representative of a typical summer’s experience” which conveys “a bit of the warmth, humor and excitement” that makes up the magic of summer camp. Liner notes include detailed information about each activity (track) along with photos and information on how it was recorded.
