Ranmale is an open-air folk theater performance based on the Ramayana. Stories from the Ramayana are narrated through songs accompanied by the ghummat, small gongs and drums.This track consists of several short invocation pieces which together form the Naman before the main Ramayan Katha. During these songs the group performs the Poorvarang ritual which invokes the Goddess Sharda, describes the making of the Ganesha idol, mimes a ritual worship of Ganesha and finally depicts Ganesha dancing.
