Fare Well, Traveller

Mark Cohen
Fare Well, Traveller New York City–born and –based singer-songwriter Mark Cohen presents a collection of seven original compositions and an extended instrumental version of the traditional American song “Wildwood Flower” (“Variations on Wildwood Flower”). On this album, recorded during the mid-‘70s, Cohen’s overall musical theme is travel, interlaced with an offering of social commentary. For example, “Is It Snowing In Buffalo?”—Cohen lived there while attending college—provides his perspective on the city’s past history and present circumstances. Liner notes from this 1977 release provide a brief biography of the artist and song lyrics.
