Mahar-Maharin

Zagor is a popular ritual musical theater form of Goa. It is celebrated by the Gavdas of Tiswadi and Ponda. It is a night long performance to commemorate and worship the village deities in which actors sing, dance and act. It consists of a series of unconnected episodes, ranging from mythological to every day themes, called songas. This song is from a Songa that depicts the Mahar caste. In the song, the wife works hard and saves her money. The father-son duo get hold of this and squander all of it on liquor.
