The Frank Cloutier Orchestra is another obscure group, which does not appear in any jazz or dance band discographies. The orchestra is assumed to have been from the Minnesota area, and recorded for Gennett in St. Paul. This song, "Moonshiner's Dance," is better known as the semi-classical piece "Over the Waves" written by the Mexican composer Rosas. It was a staple at band concerts in the early years of the 20th century (see Barrett Hansen (a.k.a Dr. Demento) in JEMF Quarterly 13 (Spring 1969), pg. 5).
