Columbus "Boy" Fruge was from Armaudville, Louisiana. He starting playing accordion as a child and was playing dances by age 11 (Charlie Seemann, notes to CMF 013). Fruge recorded four songs for Victor in 1929. Saut Crapaud is one of most popular Cajun folk songs. Its title translates as "Jump Frog."
