"And now ladies and gentlemen...Lord Melody's coming to knock you out now." The audience roars as the calypsonian king boasts about his ugly looks and the "booboo" his children see in the yard. Commencing right as the rooster crows and boiling its way all night through, the Port of Spain Carnival is a red-hot event buzzing with calypsos, mambos and steel pan bands. Several of these cuts were remastered and reissued in 2000 on Calypso Awakening from the Emory Cook Collection (SFW40453).
