Those Once a Year Times

Husband and wife Doug and Debbie Ryniker offer a collection of original “seasonal and holiday songs” for children. Songs are grouped by season beginning with spring and summer and continuing through to fall to winter; holidays include the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, and Christmas. Debbie sings lead, while Doug and Dubby Hankins both play guitar and provide background vocals. Additional musicians include keyboardist Dabney Smith, accordion player Tony Rozance, steel guitarist Don Forres, and tuba player Kevin O’Brien. The liner notes provide suggested activities for young listeners and song lyrics.
