Joseph and His Brothers: From In the Beginning by Sholem Asch

Arna Bontemps
Joseph and His Brothers: From In the Beginning by Sholem Asch African American poet Arna Bontemps (1902–1973) continues his narration of Bible stories for children as written by Polish-Jewish playwright Sholem Asch (1880–1957). This recording focuses on the many trials of Joseph’s life: being sold for twenty pieces of silver, his imprisonment in Egypt, how he came to rule over Egypt, and his eventual reunion with his brothers. Transcripts for all tracks are included in the liner notes. This recording is the companion to In the Beginning: Bible Stories for Children by Sholem Asch (FW07105).
